Hi Link to heading

Hello to anyone who reads this. I didn’t want this website to be completely empty, so I wanted to have at least one post here. A coworker of mine recently encouraged me to work on my personal brand. I have for many years decided that I just don’t have much to add to the internet in terms of new and constructive content. He told me it doesn’t matter.

I actually agree.

Previous branding Link to heading

In the past I spent a lot of time live-streaming and uploading videos about my journey in software. I’m sure you could find those if you spent a few minutes searching around. This was mostly to document my own journey, but I also liked the idea of trying to teach a concept. There wasn’t really a lot new there, but I still uploaded because I liked it.

I also wrote one article about a sudoku solving program that I wrote. I don’t think I came up with the solution, but I still wanted to share my implementation. I actually imported that article to this website, which you can read here. I don’t think there was really anything new here either, but I still posted it because I enjoyed the write-up.

Even if there’s not much new for me to add to the space, I think it’s still worthwhile for me to do so.

The purpose of this subdomain Link to heading

I thought it would be fun to buy the byjonah.net domain so that I could put various nouns and projects in a subdomain record for cute URLs. For example, my portfolio is on code.byjonah.net.

Well, you are currently reading this on articles.byjonah.net. I would like to use this space to write articles about technical topics that are interesting to me. I’ll probably focus on software engineering in general, but I may end up finding that I venture into other territory.

I want to be known for more than just being a number in an HR system somewhere. Even if I don’t have much to offer at this point in my career, I still want to leave an impact. This little corner of the internet will allow me to do that.
